Keya M. Reed-Redmond

Associate

Keya is an associate in Baty Otto Scheer’s St. Louis office. She brings prior experience from a civil defense firm and the Missouri State Public Defender System.

Keya received her J.D. from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law (UDC), where she earned the Mason Civil Rights Scholar Award. At UDC while serving as a student attorney under the direction of a licensed attorney in the Juvenile and Special Education Clinic, she won a state action suit against DC Public Schools for wrongfully suspending students with IEPs. Keya holds an undergraduate degree in urban studies, magna cum laude, from Coppin State University where she was a Dean’s List Scholar.

Keya also serves in the Missouri Army National Guard as an Operations Law Non-Commissioned Officer. In this role, she navigates the planning and execution of military actions through proper training of units on the rules of engagement and ensures military discipline pursuant to the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
