Attorneys

Baty Otto Scheer’s attorneys are variously admitted to the bar in Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Arkansas, and Nebraska. Most hold active licenses in two of these states. Our associates work closely and daily under a partner’s watchful eye and guiding hand. The firm also invests significant resources in continuing legal education and participation in bar and other professional associations which support the firm’s practice and industry areas. Our attorneys serve a diverse base of clients. They are focused on building client relationships that last through regular communication, reliable work product, and all-round good lawyering.

Paralegals

Paralegals are the backbone of any good litigation team.  Baty Otto Scheer’s paralegals are skilled in the research, fact-checking, cataloging, drafting, and prepping for hearing and trial that are routine under their job description.  Their collective experience is substantial, averaging 20 years among all who serve the firm in this role. Our most senior paralegals have been doing what they do for more than 30 years. 

Legal Assistants & Records Clerks

The work of our lawyers is supported by legal assistants who help manage the strict deadlines of the firm’s litigation and trial docket; schedule depositions, teleconferences, and other meetings; keyboard and proofread pleadings and correspondence; and otherwise assist with tasks that arise in a busy law firm environment.  Our records clerks manage all case files, ensuring they are organized, indexed, and properly stored and/or archived for efficient retrieval when needed.
