Elizabeth L. Reiher

Elizabeth Reiher is an associate in Baty Otto Scheer’s Kansas City office. She brings prior experience from regional firms, along with a strong foundation in advocacy, legal writing, and strategic communication.
Elizabeth earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law in 2024. During law school, she was actively involved in student leadership and advocacy programs. She served as note and comment editor for the Missouri Law Review and as public relations director for the Board of Advocates. Elizabeth was a finalist in the 1L Moot Court Competition and won the Transactional Law Competition in 2021. Her note, “Property Over Planet: How the Grain Belt Express Sparked Utility Eminent Domain Reform in Missouri,” was published on the Missouri Law Review blog in Spring 2023.
Before law school, Elizabeth earned dual undergraduate degrees in journalism and psychology from the University of Missouri, graduating cum laude. While at the Missouri School of Journalism, she worked at MOJO Ad—the country’s premier student-staffed advertising agency—where she coauthored the State of the YAYA (Youth and Young Adult) report and helped develop a national advertising campaign for Chevrolet.
Elizabeth’s background in journalism and strategic communications enhances her legal practice, giving her a distinctive ability to synthesize complex information and advocate effectively for her clients.
