Vanessa is a civil litigation attorney in Baty Otto Scheer’s Kansas City office. Prior to joining the firm in April 2026, Vanessa practiced for two decades with a nationally recognized boutique trial law firm in Kansas City, representing individuals and businesses in personal injury claims, class actions, tort claims, and business litigation in federal and state courts across the country. She also served as a volunteer guardian ad litem for more than seven years with Jackson County CASA.
